Functional Skills are an Ofqual-approved, GCSE equivalent qualification. If you did not achieve a Grade C/Level 4 at GCSE, then this qualification is for you! They are universally accepted across multiple universities and companies. You have several options when looking for a Functional Skills provider; however, we recommend using revision materials from Pass Functional Skills. Their revision resources are in-depth and comprehensive, and everything you need to pass your exams. Additionally, Pass Functional Skills are an experienced provider of the Functional Skills exams.
You may find obtaining your functional skills qualification difficult, especially if you are unfamiliar with the course and exam specifications. As a result of the ongoing pandemic, several Functional Skills services are now online, including revision resources and the actual exam. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as you can complete your qualification from the comfort of your own home, and there is none of the stress that comes with in-person centres. It is important to note that online exams will need to be sat under exam conditions, just like they would, in a regular in-person centre. To ensure these exam conditions are met and maintained, an Ofqual-approved invigilator will join you on a video call.
There is an array of revision materials at your disposal; however, we advise that you do not use any prior to 2019 as the specification was changed and altered. Subsequently, any resources before 2019 may not be as relevant in comparison to the current resources.
