Here at Sheffielftutorcompany, we are happy to offer tutors for maths, English and Science. Once a week we look to update our students on a revision tool we offer. This week we are excited to talk about our A Level maths past papers. These papers are a key in succeeding with A level maths as they offer the perfect replica of the actual exam. Unfortunately they are limited due to schools and 6th forms using them for end of topic tests and homework assignments.
To counter this we advise that our learners reframe from completing these A level maths past exam papers when possible until the end of the year. This will make them more effective as you will be seeing these papers for the first time which will accurately show how good your knowledge is. Once you have attempted one of these papers we advise that you use the relevant mark scheme to see how well you did and identify your weaker areas. There should be a period of intensive revision between exam papers, plugging the gaps in knowledge before moving onto paper 2. We always recommend sitting these papers in exam condition to ensure the results are the most accurate and you get the correct representation of where you currently are. Repeating this process over 4 or 5 exam papers should result in an upward trend in the mark with fewer and fewer gaps in knowledge being identified.
