At Sheffieldtutorcompany, we make sure all of our students are given the best chance at passing their maths and English GCSE or functional skills. For adult learners or for those that struggle to achieve a grade 4 in GCSE, we recommend a functional skills exam as they are still widely accepted by employers and educators and are arguably easier to pass. There is much less content in the functional skills course and you are able to study and sit the exam from your own home. The first step to completing one of these qualifications is to take the functional skills diagnostic assessment. This is a short test to determine what level a student is currently at. Educators will usually always recommend starting at the first level but if you are studying from home we do advise that you take the level 2 exam even if your diagnostic assessments don’t give the same feedback.
Here at Sheffieldtutorcompany, we are always looking to give our students the best resources possible. When it comes to functional skills diagnostic tests for maths and English, this means recommending the free tests that are available on the Pass Functional Skills website. This is the only service to offer a comprehensive free diagnostic tool that we believe is far superior to the other diagnostics out there. These diagnostic tests are important as they show your employee or educator your improvements and provide them with an accurate showing of the level you are working at. This makes this initial diagnostic test a must for both students and training providers.
